Overview
Known fondly as "The
Kili", this iconic hotel has been a landmark in Dar
es Salaam since the mid 1960's. Serving foreign

The Kilimanjaro
Hotel, Dar es Salaam, opened its doors in 1965 as
the country's leading hotel. This imposing building
was not only an icon in Tanzania but regarded as
'the' hotel in East Africa. It played host to many
famous people from pop star Michael Jackson to world
leaders such as Nelson Mandela.
Today, after a USD
40 million refurbishment and rebuilding programme
that has taken inexcess of two years, this elegant
hotel is both a testament to Dar es Salaam's
historical past and it's independent future and a
favoured meeting place of discerning locals as well
as visitors in town. The fusion of traditional
European and East African hospitality together with

Rooms
These well appointed
rooms are amongst the largest in Dar es Salaam,

Executive Suite
These spacious
suites, located on the 7th floor of the hotel are
ideal for both business and leisure travelers.
Executive Suites feature two separate rooms, a
living/lounge area with guest toilette and a small
kitchenette and a master bedroom with large ensuite
bathroom. Each Executive Suite has its own private
balcony with views over the city skyline and
harbour.
Diplomatic Suite
Also known as the
Diplomatic Suite and located on 6th and 7th floor,
this beautifully appointed suite offers comfort,
space and luxury. Measuring 95sqm with a private
balcony and an adjoining room if required. The Mount
Meru Suite boasts magnificent views over the Port of
Dar es Salaam.
The Diplomatic
suite consists of three private rooms, a formal
dining room with kitchenette and guest toilette, a
large formal lounge followed on by the master
bedroom with ensuite bathroom. An adjoining guest
room is available should you require.
Presidential Suite
Mount Meru Suite is a
haven of peace. The inviting living area is
accentuated with original East African art. Gaze out
over the infinity pool and the harbour while you
enjoy a relaxing evening watching the sunset.
The Presidential
Suite consists of a welcome reception area, study,
lounge, private dining room, guest bathroom,
kitchenette, master bedroom with walk-in robe and
