A luxury desert camp and spa, The Serai
has 21, large canvas tents set on thirty acres of a hundred
acre estate of indigenous desert scrub in the Great Thar
Desert. The camp has a pool inspired by a traditional Indian
step-well, a Spa created by Raison d’Etre, one of the
leading Spa companies in the world, a Dining Tent and Lounge
Bar.
The Serai has twenty-one luxurious canvas tents, divided
into three categories. There are fourteen ‘Tented Suites’,
each with their own verandah, drawing room, spacious
air-conditioned bedroom and, of course, en-suite bathroom,
covering an area of about 1100 sq.ft. The six ‘Luxury Tented
Suites’ have in addition, a private walled-in garden with a
plunge pool. And, the ‘Royal Suite’ which boasts its own
private spa, pool, and lounge tents is the ultimate in
luxury living in the desert!
Dining
The Dining Tent serves sumptuous local
delicacies as well as delicious western repasts – using much
home grown organic produce. Guests can choose something from
our wide range of wine and spirits, while slipping into one
of the comfortable leather club-chairs in the Library Bar,
with a book and a Cuban cigar. Alternatively, guests may
drink or dine al-fresco anywhere on the estate.
