Overview
A mansion once owned
by wealthy merchant Cheong Fatt Tze, who came from a
poor family and worked his way to wealth through
sheer grit and determination, the mansion consists
of elaborate forms of design with meticulous
attention paid to the many details of Feng Shui.
Restoration of this museum into a boutique hotel cum
museum were so remarkable that the project was
awarded the prestigious National Architecture award
for conservation.
