Overview
Conceived and
executed by style queen Meryanne Loum-martin, Jnane
Tamsna is individual houses spread out
out in a garden in the La Palmeraie area. This gives guests an
atmosphere of being at home while
providing the comfort and service of a
hotel. Made up of Jnane House, Jnane
Moussafir and the latest addition in Jnane Salmia,
the Jnane collection of villas have attracted
international jet-setters who have lent their star
appeal to the district of La Palmeraie in Marrakech.
The grounds of Jnane Ylane will provide everything
to soothe body and mind, from spa and herb gardens
to riding stables, tennis courts and swimming pools.
Jnane
interiors, as developed by Meryanne Loum-Martin
over two decades, fuse Oriental, African
and European influences and
sensibilities.
Accommodation
Jnane House,
with a total of ten bedrooms, combines the
architecture and layout of the traditional 'ryad'
(courtyard house) with the spaciousness of a country
home. The first courtyard gives access to
comfortable, intimate living and dining rooms. There
are six bedrooms on the garden level – four of them
around a second courtyard – and an additional four
bedrooms on the upper-level, opposite a wide roof
terrace. Two further private rooms are available in
Dar Ylane, a separate house a short walk away. The
grounds, which comprise extensive gardens and two
large pools, offer numerous alcoves for discreet
private dining.
Jnane Moussafir-
The five
suites – African, Casablanca,
Calligraphy, Persian and Indian – are
large and air conditioned, with
fireplaces and walk-in closets.
Casablanca and Calligraphy, with their
spacious common veranda, are ideal for
two couples or a family.
They all
have private north and south verandas
overlooking an exclusive garden, as well
as access to their own roof terraces.
Each bathroom has a fireplace, bathtub
and two sinks, with an independent
shower and WC. The suites can be
equipped with television, DVD and CD
player upon request.
Jnane Ylane houses rooms instead of
villas, offering 30 bedrooms spread over
five villas. The bedrooms are designed
to offer the world-weary guest a feeling
of repose and oneness with nature. Each
room will look out onto its own private
corner of landscaped garden. Some will
have a private roof terrace with views
over the kasbah to the Atlas mountains.
The public areas of the hotel will be
decorated in true Jnane style with
traditional materials and
Moorish/African furnishings.

and water efficient.
