Overview
Arrive at Kasbah's front door and be greeted by a
plaque which reads, 'Dreams are only the plans of
the reasonable' which quite adequately sums up owner
Mike McHugo's approach to responsible tourism.
A mountain retreat unlike others of the region,
Kasbah du Toubkal emphasizes much on contributing
back to the local community. A five percent levy
paid by guests goes back to Berban villagers. It is
here where you are greeted with genuine warmth and
Berber hospitality vastly different from that of a
traditional hotel.
Featured in Scorsese's 1997 film Kundun, Kasbah du
Toubkal features absolutely splendid views. Be
spellbound by the ethereal quality of the snowcapped
Atlas Mountains emerging from a sea of clouds.
