Nepal- Buddhist Himalayan Kingdoms and Tiger Safaris

This itinerary combines stays in some of the most
interesting boutique hotels- a former royal hunting lodge and a hotel that has won a heritage award, virtually a 'living museum' for its preservation of ancient building techniques.
You'll be going on a helicopter trip to Mustang, a Buddhist Himalayan kingdom whose remoteness lends to its mystique. The trip ends with a tiger safari in the Chitwan National Park.
Transfer today to Pokhara, staying at the Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge.
Kathmandu
Stay at the Dwarika's, a beautifully restored hotel in Kathmandu. Day is spent at leisure, taking in the atmosphere of Dwarika's and dinner is in the hotel in the excellent Nepalese restaurant.
Courses are served by waitresses dressed to represent the country's various ethnic groups. Dinner is a theatrical affair- with the multi courses drawing from the various Nepali cuisines, different dresses and the elaborate serving ware. Guests sit on elevated platforms to emulate a Nepali dining experience.
Early risers will be treated to the views over the Annapurna Ranges at sunrise. After breakfast, set out
for a heli-tour for your visit to the mysterious kingdom of Mustang. The next day is left free and easy and you will have a choice of a city tour of Pokhara, visiting the Seti Gorge,
Museum and Mahendra Cave or you could alternately go paragliding with raptors(additional cost)- an activity rather unique to this part of the world!
After breakfast(Nepalese chai is a must-try in this part of the Himalayas), check out and be
transferred to Dhulikhel, long the gateway to Tibet, is famous for its inspired scenery which stretches from Mount Annapurna to Mount Karolung. A stop here would be a definitive
experience in your Himalayan journey. You will be staying at the Apa Villa Fulbari.
Chitwan
Elephant back safaris to potentially see the tiger, tented camps in the
middle of the jungle- a true Asian safari experience. Spend three days
here before returning to Kathmandu..
Kathmandu
You will be staying at a former royal hunting lodge at the end of your
stay.
