ACCCOMMODATION

Morukuru Lodge Villa
Morukuru Lodge enfolds guests in peace and comfort from the moment they enter its sumptuous living area. The main lodge can accommodate six adult guests in three double en-suite bedrooms, opening on to tree-shaded private balconies.

Spacious bathrooms afford a view of the bush, and both inside and outside, monkey’s eye-view private showers for an unforgettable bushveld experience.

An additional four junior guests can be comfortably accommodated in the family room, where they have access to recreational facilities such as television, Internet, office facilities, a DVD player and satellite access
The superbly appointed living area offers fine dining for a complete party of ten, with cuisine prepared to your taste and requirements by your personal chef.

On moonlit nights, dine around a crackling bonfire in the boma, while the calls of lions, jackals, hyenas and nightjars provide light dinner music; or savour the welcoming peace of the luxurious indoor lounge area.

Morukuru owner’s house is the pride and heart of Morukuru - the epitome of bush lodge elegance and charm. Here, as at the main lodge, the guests’ every wish is catered to by a caring and friendly staff. Morukuru is the perfect choice for guests wanting an exclusive Safari Adventure that is tailor made to their own personal interests and wishes.

The entrance is shaded by a mighty Morukuru tree, the lodge’s namesake, a sturdy and impressive sentinel standing guard over all who enter. There are two spacious, beautifully appointed bedrooms, giving access to private balconies and rest-and-relaxation areas for quiet contemplation.

The central living area features plush soft furnishings, Madikwe stone crafted by the local community, wood and glass elements, as well as digital entertainment and home office facilities - all working together in a pleasing synergy of contemporary African décor, style and ambiance.

Morukuru is entirely centred around the guest experience…A dazzling array of activities from exciting safaris (game drives, bush walks, fishing or bird-watching) or romantic starlit sleepovers at the hide for adults, to a creative cornucopia of meal settings and options, or the very latest in digital entertainment back at the Lodge await one.

Bush breakfasts, pizza picnics, colonial-style candlelit dinners atop the nearby mountain overlooking the majesty that is Madikwe at sunset, or freshly barbequed fish at the riverside are just some of the choices on offer.

The entire staff complement from rangers and trackers to all the personal butlering and house staff at the Lodge are entirely at guests’ disposal and will do all in their power to provide an amazing experience at Morukuru.

Game Drives – Getting You Into the Wild
Morukuru Lodge is situated on private land, a jewel in the magnificent wildlife crown that is Madikwe Game Reserve. Teeming with game and wildlife, as well as many different bird species, the Morukuru game drive experience is made more memorable by the fact that the drives are totally tailored to fit in with guests wishes & interests.

Madikwe reserve offers potential sightings of many antelope such as Sable, Gemsbok, Impala, Springbok, Kudu and Nyala. The ‘top ten’ are also there to reward the observant guest on a game drive – lion, leopard, elephant, black and white rhino, buffalo, brown and spotted hyena, giraffe, wild dog and cheetah. Morukuru Lodge not only offers guests their own private game-viewing vehicle and dedicated game ranger; but also an experienced tracker to assist in tracking the animals using their extensive skills obtained through many years of living in the bush.
