Day 1: Arrival in
Delhi. Staying at the Oberoi New Delhi, take a city
tour of Old and New Delhi, or spend a day at
leisure.
Day 2:
Transfer today to Jodhpur and connect, via a 3 hour
drive to Kotri. Once paired with your horses, ride
out to visit the 7th century Archaeological site
and, on your way back, weave through volcanic
outcrops. Tonight is spent at the Kotri Raola, a 200
year old castle, where you will be personally hosted
by the owner, Th. Mahendra Singh.
Day 3:
Set out early in the morning today, visiting a
Marwari House Stud Farm, on the way to Narlai- 3
hours on horseback.
Take some time off at Narlai, possibly climbing the
Rock of Narad or visiting one of the many temples in
the village.
Tonight you'll be based at the Narlai Rawla.
Day 4:
Set out again, early in the morning, past farms and
lakes, past pastoral views of shepherds leading
their herds and farmers at work.
After 3 hours on horseback, stop at the Muthana bird
lake to watch the migratory birds of Rajasthan.
From the merchant town of Sadri, drive to Maharani
Bagh for lunch. There'll be a visit of some
temples at Maharani Bagh before returning to Narlai.
Overnight at Rawla Narlai.
Day 5:
In the morning, you'll be riding past farms towards
the Aravalli foothills, on the periphery of the
Wildlife Preserve on the way to Ghanerao.
A steep trail ride- up some 2000ft to Kumbhalgarh
follows. Lunch is at 'The Aodhi Hotel'. Afterwards,
visit the Kumbhalgarh fort, which, with its
bastions, gates and thick walls, remains unconquered
till today.
Overnight at the Aodhi Hotel.
Day 6:
Leave today for Deogarh and overnight at the Deogarh
Mahal, a heritage hotel. Transfer the next day for
Udaipur for your flight back to Delhi.
