The pairing of  traditional 'alang alang' with the contemporary feel of expanses of glass sets the tone for this cozy hideaway. With its own plunge pool, this one bedroom villa (with another loft containing two sleeper-style sofas) is perfect as a honeymoon suite or a small family.

Communal areas being another important feature of Balinese living, the air-conditioned balconied pavilion of this house comes with two storey glass windows, an entertainment unit for TV and DVD viewing and a fully equipped kitchen area. Halfway up the wood and glass inlaid staircase is a bathroom with its own shower-with-a-view. Above the bathroom (a few more steps up the staircase) is a glass-enclosed aeries with a 300 degree view of surrounding rice fields practicing centuries-old rice farming.

The ensuite open-air garden bathroom is an attractive contrast of dark grey granite flooring and a cream oversized terrazzo jacuzzi bathtub, shaded by a pergola, interlaced with a flowering vine. With a washbasin of sculpted riverstone, and an attractive glass-walled standing shower.
